Wisconsin Golf 2020

Wisconsin has really made a mark on the summer golf destination list in the past few years with the addition of courses like Whistling Straits Golf Club (opened in 1998) in Haven (near Kohler) and Blackwolf Run in Kohler (opened in 1988).  Resort courses like these definitely make Wisconsin among an elite list of top golf destinations for the summer that almost starts to rival golf states like Michigan.  Those rolling hills, plenty of Lake Michigan shoreline, and a reasonable proximity to Chicago and Milwaukee make Wisconsin a well overdue place to visit and play golf.

Whistling Straits hosted the PGA Championship in 2004, 2010 & 2015 and will host the Ryder Cup in 2020.

The nearby upper peninsula of Michigan (often thought part of Wisconsin) also provides great golf within close proximity to Wisconsin. The highly rated Greywalls at Marquette Country Club is a great place to start. A charming Marquette vacation rental, perfect for four golfers in Marquette, can provide everything needed for a week of golf in the historic town.
